About Copper Rock Nursery

Copper Rock Nursery is a wholesale nursery in Austin, Texas. It is listed at 10944 Fitzhugh Rd, Austin, TX 78736, which places it among the local businesses of Austin that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as plant nursery, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In Austin, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Texas, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 7:30 am–4:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Copper Rock Nursery at (512) 301-5100; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 26 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Austin is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Austin is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This is a wholesale nursery for contractors only & it’s very clearly stated in the parking lot before anyone enters. I have used them for 5+ years and without question if you run a business that uses plants this place will save you money with all the same options any other nursery has. The only issue I ever had here was fixed with no hesitation by the owner. All the guys in the yard are eager to help / get you loaded and Ty or Lynn have always answered the phone to give me pricing no matter how often I call & the other lady in there is just as helpful when she’s had to be. Highly recommend & appreciate this business to business model they have, it saves me and my clients money while making us all some.

This is a Wholesale nursery. There is a big sign at the front that states this. If you're not sure what that means just buy your plants from Lowes or Home Depot. Guys in the yard are always extremely helpful and load you up quick. Counter service is always efficient. Great selection of trees and plants. I've been buying plants here for over a decade.

Went in wanting to buy 10 trees but the employee was rude and dismissive. They refused to help me because I did not have a contractor's license. They have no manners to express themselves nor care to have them. As a business owner, I know this is bad business. Take your business somewhere that deserves your purchase. To make matters worse, they stare you up and down. Disgusting attitude.

We needed to identify a specific shrub our renters allowed to die so that our landscaper can buy and plant them. We called several nurseries in vain and we decided to stop at Copper Rock to see if they have this plant. When we entered the office, there were two guys behind the counter acting busy though there was nobody around, no customers waiting, no one. Finally one of them, on the left looked up and asked hesitantly if we needed some help. I had the surviving shrub picture on my phone and I wanted to explain to him that we just need them to look at the shrub, and tell us if they carried it or could order it. Before I could finish my sentence, his phone rang and he promptly answered it. Within a few seconds he bolted out the side door to the nursery. How can you give priority to a caller and leave the customers in front of you waiting. After several minutes, the other genius gathered the little customer service training he ever had and asked us what we needed. As soon as I started describing the plant, its name and ... He promptly and abruptly stopped me with: "Since you are not a contractor, we will not help you". He then went back to pretending to be busy, waiting for a phone

Wholesale only. Friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful plant selection. Reasonable prices for resale wholesale. My first goto for plant shopping for all of my landscape installations.
